OOFOS Gives Back £9,000

OOFOS Gives Back £9,000

OOFOS UK Proudly supports The Royal Marsden, by donating 2% of net sales on oofos.co.uk to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. This Giving Tuesday we are celebrating the more than £ 9,000.00 that we have donated since launching our partnership in April this year. Thank yOO to every OOFOS customer who has made this possible by purchasing OOFOS recovery footwear. In doing so you have invested in your recovery and made a difference, by supporting the incredible work that The Royal Marsden does.

This Holiday Season, OOFOS is joining The Royal Marsden for their “Celebrate a Life” initiative. #CelebrateaLife is a special occasion for Royal Marsden patients, their loved ones, supporters, and staff. Each year, thousands of gold stars are displayed on the Christmas Trees outside The Royal Marsden hospital sites in Sutton and Chelsea, each one with a name of someone special handwritten in the centre.

OOFOS UK will be adding a very special name to the Christmas Tree this year, that of Duncan Finigan. Duncan was one of OOFOS’ first employees, who following her diagnosis with stage 4 breast cancer, not only bravely battled her own disease, but also put an initiative in place that would help fight it.

Sadly, we lost our beloved friend on May 26, 2019 after a four-year battle with breast cancer. Project Pink, the OOFOS initiative which Duncan helped establish, continues to give back to change lives today and this is part of her legacy.

To date OOFOS has donated over US$1 million to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the US through Project Pink, which has become an integral part of the brand’s #OOsoul. Our support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is the first Project Pink Initiative in the UK.

Adding Duncan Finigan’s name to The Royal Marsden Christmas tree is a fitting celebration of her legacy and a meaningful symbol of our partnership with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, that gives hope to so many.

Join OOFOS in supporting The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, by naming a star to celebrate those dear to you.
