Black Girls Do Run X OOFOS
Partnering with running community, Black Girls Do Run UK, OOFOS hosted one of the group’s monthly ‘Let’s Run’ meet-ups to add some essential post-run recovery to their session.
Led by the founder of Black Girls Do Run UK, Tasha Thompson, the runners enjoyed a leisurely 5k run around iconic London Royal Park, Regent’s Park, and up to the summit of Primrose Hill, to be rewarded with spectacular views across London’s skyline.
Post-run, OOFOS ambassador and physio Joy Ogude (@physiojoy) led a guided cooldown routine and static stretch session for the runners, to aid the recovery process and help reduce muscle and joint stiffness that can occur post-workout.
Cooled down and hydrated, the runners then slid their tired feet into a pair of OOFOS OOahh recovery slide sandals to feel the OO, whilst being guided through some of Joy’s expert recovery and physio tips for runners.
Recovery footwear is one key component of post-run recovery, to prevent injury and promote wellness and self-care. Every pair of OOFOS sandals are made from our proprietary OOfoam™ technology that absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear foams and a patented footbed design that cradles and supports the arches. All this works to aid the recovery process and is scientifically proven to reduce stress on the body by reducing energy exertion in the ankles by up to 20%.
