OOFOS UK is pleased to announce that we have been able to donate £20,809.48 (on 01/08/22) to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity as part of our Project Pink initiative this year! We are grateful to every OOFOS customer who has made this possible by purchasing OOFOS recovery footwear, thank yOO for helping us to make a difference.
One year stronger
The past two years have held their challenges, but a shining light amongst tougher times has come through OOFOS’ partnership with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The partnership was officially launched in April 2021 and has since gone from strength to strength.
Reaching the £20k milestone
In one year, OOFOS’ Project Pink Initiative has raised £20,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, donating 2% of all net online sales to the Charity as well as gifting footwear products to The Royal Marsden’s incredible staff to aid their recovery after long shifts on their feet.
The past year has seen OOFOS:
Celebrate a Life: OOFOS was honoured to be given a ‘star’, celebrating the life of OOFOS employee Duncan Finigan who sadly passed away. Duncan’s star was displayed on a Christmas tree outside The Royal Marsden’s Chelsea site in December; as well as online

Aiming high: What’s to come
With OOFOS and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity set to continue their partnership into 2022 and 2023, plans are underfoot to make this year even better than the last.
Forthcoming highlights include:
Another year of taking part in The Banham Marsden March
Supporting participants in some of the Charity’s challenge events during the year, providing OOFOS shoes as prizes for competitions and top fundraisers to help with their post-event recovery
Recognising the incredible work of hospital staff at The Royal Marsden by gifting OOFOS shoes to them at key moments during the year.
Commenting on a second year of the partnership, Giles Cundell, Head of International at OOFOS said:
“This is a cause very close to the heart of the OOFOS brand and its entire team. Our first year of partnering with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity has been memorable and rewarding, giving us a huge sense of pride to be supporting the Charity’s work both on the ground - through providing shoes for hospital staff - and financially through our fundraising efforts. As we continue our partnership, we reinforce our commitment to helping and championing cancer charities in their vital work. We are delighted to be able to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, now and in the future.”
Raising vital funds and how yOO can help
OOFOS is proud to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s life-saving work, raising £20,000 in the first year. These vital funds are helping to fund state-of-the-art equipment, the very best patient environments and ground-breaking research to transform the lives of cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and beyond.
Some areas that Charity funding has contributed to recently, thanks to support like yours, include counselling sessions to support families going through a cancer journey; research looking into early diagnosis to save more lives and a scalp cooler machine to help prevent patient hair loss during chemotherapy.
If you’ve never experienced the OO before now is your chance to make a difference to your feet, and to the lives of others by buying a pair of OOFOS at oofos.co.uk, as 2% of net profits will once again be donated to the Charity.
Sophie Powell-White, Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, says:
“Thank you OOFOS staff and customers for your generous support throughout the first year of our partnership and the OOFOS’ Project Pink Initiative, which has raised £20,000. Not only has your fundraising been hugely successful, but we are so grateful for your donations of shoes to the hospital staff and for supporting events such as The Banham Marsden March and Celebrate a Life. The money raised will help make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer at The Royal Marsden, and beyond, and we are delighted to be continuing our partnership in 2022 and 2023.”
The Cause Chose Us
At OOFOS we often say “The Cause Chose Us”. Duncan Finigan helped establish Project Pink, to fight and help find a cure for breast cancer, during her own courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Sadly, we lost our beloved friend on May 26, 2019 after a four-year battle with the disease.
As one of the company’s first employees, she was part of its soul. Her passion and dedication to making OOFOS make you feel better beyond our technology and the comfort our shoes provide, has always inspired us to be involved in a way to give back to the cancer cause. Project Pink continues to give back, to change lives today and is a significant part of our #OOsoul, this is part of Duncan’s legacy. To date OOFOS has donated over US$ 1.7 million to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund in the US.
