“As soon as you finish the race, take off your shoes and cool the feet down. If you have just finished the Brighton Marathon go and dip your feet in the sea. Next, elevate the feet to improve blood supply and drainage, because they will have swollen slightly. If you are walking home change into a pair of low impact shoes.
